Wollstonecraft, NSW 2065

This diminutive peninsula suburb offers a perfect balance of convenience and peaceful living, with a wide variety of properties and a broad demographic which makes it all the more attractive. It's loved by everyone from professionals to families and downsizers for its proximity to the CBD, which lies just 4km away, its idyllic parkland and safe, welcoming village lifestyle. Here you'll find everything from multimillion dollar homes to more modest apartments, meaning there's something for everyone.

Wollstonecraft was named after Edward Wollstonecraft, the first settler to receive a land grant in the area in 1821. Its hilly, leafy streets cascade down from Pacific Highway culminating in beautiful Berry Island Reserve on the tip of the peninsula. Here you can rest a while, take in the spectacular harbour backdrop, picnic, watch the kids in the playground or explore the Gadyan Track, a 20 minute bushwalk that interprets the area's Aboriginal history.

A number of other parks are dotted around the suburb, including Smoothey Park, which links to the Gore Cove bush walking track, and Brennan Park, with its historic rockery gardens and playground sheltering under a sprawling fig tree.

There's a small cluster of village shops and cafes around the train station however if you're looking for something a little more lively, neighbouring Crows Nest is renowned for its thriving culinary scene. Take a leisurely walk or short drive to enjoy its multicultural dining, cosy small bars and unique retail stores.

Wollstonecraft lies within the catchment for the highly regarded public school Cammeraygal High School. Some of Sydney's top private and public schools are also found nearby, including the selective North Sydney Boys High School and North Sydney Girls High School, Wenona School, Monte Sant'Angelo Mercy College, Shore School, Marist College North Shore, North Sydney Public School and St Mary's Catholic Primary School.

Wollstonecraft is easily accessible by bus or train, with the CBD just 11 minutes away via rail.
