Lindfield, NSW 2070

Leafy Lindfield is quintessential Upper North Shore living at its best.

It's immersed in nature, its homes are stately, its blocks are large and there are countless recreational attractions as well as plenty of highly regarded schools – everything you could desire for family life.

Everyone loves a welcoming local village with a great sense of community and that's exactly what you'll enjoy in Lindfield. On the east side of the train station you'll find a small but charming hub that's home to a Harris Farm, IGA and popular local cafes such as Goodfields and Runaway Spoon.

However it's what to come that's most exciting. Planning for the revamped Lindfield Village Green is the final stages. Part of Council's award winning Open Space Acquisition Program, the project will see the conversion of an existing east-side car park into a modern-day village green and public plaza. Proposed are a library, park and play area, community facilities, childcare centre, a supermarket-based shopping precinct with specialty food and beverage retailers and additional parking, along with provision for new medium-density housing. The existing retail precinct to the west of the station along Pacific Highway will also benefit from the uplift in foot traffic to the area.

Lindfield is bordered to the west by the idyllic Lane Cove River and surrounding national parkland, providing a treasure trove of natural beauty and the perfect spot for a hike, kayaking or row boating. You can also picnic in beautiful Swain Gardens, a romantic hidden gem reminiscent of a classic English country garden in a bushland setting, or meander through Seven Little Australians Park, with the Two Creeks Track starting close by.

Golfing enthusiasts can play 18 holes at Killara Golf Club or Roseville Golf Club, navigating their gently undulating tree-lined fairways. For cricket lovers, the Lindfield Cricket Club welcomes all ages and abilities.

Lindfield life is all about family so it's not surprising that there are so many sought-after schools in the area. The suburb itself is home to Lindfield Public School, Highfields Preparatory & Kindergarten School, Holy Family Catholic Primary School and Cromehurst School. Additionally, the former site of UTS Ku-ring-gai has been transformed into the new Lindfield Learning Village, a progressive K-12 institution which is attracting parents keen on its unconventional, progressive approach to education.

Nearby you'll also find Killara High School which regularly ranks among Sydney's top non-selective government secondary schools while Montessori Excelsior School and Masada College regularly rank among the top five non-government primary schools. Other leading local schools include Newington College Lindfield Preparatory School, Knox Grammar School, Ravenswood School for Girls and Pymble Ladies' College.

Accessibility is a key drawcard in Lindfield, with a train journey taking you to the retail epicentre of Chatswood in just six minutes and Wynyard in the CBD in 25 minutes. Local bus routes also deliver you to Chatswood, North Sydney and the city, meaning you've got plenty of transport options.
