Drummoyne, NSW 2047

Drummoyne is embraced on three sides by the Parramatta River, blessing it with kilometres of waterfrontage which makes for spectacular views.

Drummoyne is well known for Birkenhead Point, one of Sydney's most popular outlet shopping centres. It's also loved for the Bay Run waterfront pathway that hugs the shores of picturesque Iron Cove, where you'll see people strolling and cycling all hours of the day.

Bisected by the busy main artery Victoria Road, Drummoyne's quiet, leafy residential streets are lined with gorgeous turn-of-the-century semis and plenty of substantial freestanding houses. Much of its absolute waterfrontage is home to apartment complexes that soak up the vista, with some gazing out to the Harbour Bridge or Cockatoo Island.

Victoria Road and its side streets are home to a busy shopping precinct where you'll find plenty of interesting cafes, food purveyors, grocers and specialty stores. Locals head to Salt Meats Cheese for authentic Italian pizza and gourmet produce and enjoy an after-work drink and classic pub-style fare at The Oxford Hotel.

A number of beautiful parks are dotted along Drummoyne's extensive shoreline, with plenty of playgrounds for the many families that call the area home. At Taplin Park on Five Dock Bay you'll find Drummoyne Oval, a multi-use sports oval with a contemporary pavilion frequently used for functions. For boating enthusiasts, Five Dock Bay Boat Ramp is nearby while the Drummoyne Sailing Club is a magnet for local yachties. Brett Park is a beautiful spot for gazing over Iron Cove, with the Drummoyne Swimming Centre and popular function venue Aqua Luna Waterfront Dining gracing the waterfront.

Local childcare centres and schools are highly regarded, including Drummoyne Public School, with its gracious old school building, and St Mark's Catholic Primary School.

A network of buses will take you to the city with ease or you can jump on a ferry and enjoy a picturesque journey into the CBD.
