A beach-lover’s slice of paradise, peaceful Curl Curl is regarded as one of the Northern Beaches’ best surfing spots.

Affectionately known as 'Curly', its unique name is thought to be derived from a Dharuk Aboriginal phrase 'curial curial', meaning river of life.

This beautiful 600m stretch of beach has a volunteer surf lifesaving club at each end, South Curl Curl SLSC and North Curl Curl SLSC. The south end is also home to the South Curl Curl Rockpool, a 50m child-friendly ocean pool. Flowing into the sea, Curl Curl Lagoon and Greendale Creek separate Curl Curl from its neighbouring suburb, North Curl Curl.

While only a small suburb, Curl Curl has plenty of green open space, including a number of parks and sporting fields, along with the Harbord Bowling and Recreation Club, with its popular beer garden overlooking the greens.

A premier local attraction is Harbord Diggers in neighbouring Freshwater, a revamped recreational precinct on the headland with killer views, enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. It's home to a selection of thriving restaurants and bars, retirement living (not a bad spot to retire!), childcare, a gym, health and wellbeing facilities, a swim school and more.

In terms of real estate, Curl Curl has an eclectic mix of properties and being a tightly held locale, there's not always a great deal on the market at any given time.
